"I'm using Windows, Windows, Windows 386"

Alright, wacky advertisement time. This video for Windows 386 is hands down the most bizarre advertisement I've ever seen for an operating system. Heck, it's probably the most bizarre advertisement I've seen for anything. Skip to about 7 minutes for the crazy.

Gee, Microsoft used to be funky.

Yeah, that's your software companies for you.

The really stupid stuff, was that multitasking stuff was stolen not from Xerox, like claimed, but from a little project called MIT X11. They even stole the window corner style from there.

Strangely, you can't simply recompile old Windows programs for Windows XP, but you can get an old *ix/X11 program, and grab compatibility libs, and hard compile a binary in minutes.
