Something strange happened today. The Calculus II professor was going over the syllabus, as per normal for the first day of the semester. All of the sudden, a banshee-like scream of "YAAAAAAAAAAAA!" pierced the air for a second before fading into silence. The professor simply shrugged and continued.
Later, in Western Civilizations, the professor said that the room we were in has a tendency to make strange noises. He called it a "College phantom." We then ignored this phantom, who seemed to be spraying phantom water from a phantom garden hose on the (non-phantom) walls, if the phantom noises were any indication.
Truly, portents of at least an interesting semester to come.
. . . Or maybe just Ragnarok.
