I never realized before that the Bone books were being re-printed by Scholastic, but this time in color. Steve Hamaker, the colorist of these versions, has posted a step-by-step walkthrough of the coloring process on Jeff Smith's blog. It's well worth a look.
Looking at that example, as well as this picture of Rock Jaw, I'm struck by just how beautiful the coloring job is. It fits very nicely with the black-and-white version of Bone. In fact, I'm very tempted to go and buy some of the new books, just for the color.
